A group of cyclists witnessed a dramatic event on Provincial Route 6, near Paso Córdoba, on the outskirts of General Roca. The cyclists saw how a woman threw her two-year-old daughter into the roadway just as a truck was approaching at high speed. Fortunately, the driver managed to swerve to avoid the child at the last moment, preventing a tragedy.

The cyclists, shocked by what happened, approached to help. They rescued the girl, who was being assaulted by her own mother at the side of the road. After being assisted by the Integral Emergency Care Service, the girl was taken to a hospital in General Roca to be treated for minor injuries and as a precaution due to prior health issues.

According to information provided by authorities, the woman allegedly attempted to push the girl under the truck and subsequently assaulted her in public. The cyclists, who were key in rescuing the girl, held the mother until the police arrived and arrested her. The woman will face charges for these actions in a hearing scheduled for Thursday.

Meanwhile, the girl has been placed under the custody of the Ministry of Childhood, Adolescence, and Family. Authorities are collecting evidence and testimonies to clarify the motives behind this incident that nearly turned into a tragedy. The truck driver was the hero of the day, avoiding the impact with the girl thanks to his quick reaction and driving skill.
